It is impossible to see the light shine if there is no darkness. You cannot know what happiness means if you do not know what sadness tastes like. You cannot consciously enjoy freedom if you have not known fear. You cannot know true peace if you have not looked within yourself. You cannot live on purpose if you do not try to align yourself with your soul and accept all of your gifts.
Duality is a collection that has emerged at this very particular moment in history, at this special moment that we are living as humanity that invites us to look inward to realize that the outside world is only a reflection of our inner world. We have had a succession of eclipses and planetary events that communicate what we are experiencing: the exaltation of our individual and collective light and shadow, what we fear, what we long for, what we feel lost, what we gain, love, dissatisfaction, solidarity, scarcity, etc. We are feeling everything at once, and the invitation is to stop rejecting what we do not like to feel, what we do not want to see about ourselves and what we see outside in order to obtain the knowledge that this discomfort brings us. Recognizing our darkness, accepting it and listening to it is illuminating and integrating it, because in that duality lies our unity as beings and our UNITY with the whole.
That is why our Duality collection shows the transformation that, as a brand, we feel we need to express. We need to love ourselves with our lights and shadows. We need to inspire balance in our life, understanding that duality is a dance in this journey. We need to connect with our essential and deep existence.
Duality was born out of the need of this moment to connect with our consciousness in multiple ways. First, with our awareness of being through the meaningful messages and colors of the clothing. Second, with the environment by making use of fabrics made from recycled fibers from PET bottles, by using biodegradable dyes, and by greatly reducing the amount of water used in the different processes. Third, with our social consciousness, by ensuring that despite the challenges of producing at this time, our garments are made by single mothers and other vulnerable populations.
This is a collection that answers the comfort we require for multiple activities at home while honoring the inner goddess with our Triskel femininity-filled designs. This is our way of encouraging ourselves to embrace our light and our dark, which in turn allows us to love ourselves and others unconditionally. When we do this, we give those around us the freedom to BE. We free them from our own shadow projections. We allow ourselves to take full responsibility for our own feelings and emotions. We give ourselves permission to be free in our multiple facets and in our fullness. We take control of our lives and, above all, we remember that we are spiritual beings experiencing this world in which nothing is possible without duality.
